Brendan McMahon designs and leads all teaching blocks—combining Sigma’s proprietary frameworks with live case simulations and cross-border strategic analysis.
The Oxford Pathway.
Capstone for Sigma Graduates.
The highest expression of the Sigma curriculum. Senior executives completing Sigma Leadership Hub programmes are invited to apply the frameworks at Oxford — in a cross-cultural cohort environment that is unlike anything else in the market.
From Curriculum to Oxford.
The Sigma Oxford Pathway is not a separate programme — it is the capstone that the Leadership Hub curriculum leads toward. Participants who complete SM-DTL-01 (and selected other Hub programmes) are invited to bring their Sigma frameworks into the most challenging cross-cultural academic environment Sigma can provide.
Three days at Hertford College, University of Oxford. Cross-cultural cohorts drawn from Japan, Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong, and beyond. The Niigata Accord governance simulation in Japanese and English — applying game theory, nemawashi, and cross-cultural negotiation intelligence under real pressure. Governance and leadership masterclasses.
The network that forms across these cohorts — senior leaders from across Asian markets, bonded by a shared intellectual experience at Oxford — is itself a significant part of the value. The Sigma Oxford alumni network spans seven Asian markets.
The Capstone also includes an optional pathway into the Hertford College International Programmes for participants who want a longer Oxford residential experience. Enquire for details.
Oxford Cannot Come to You.
But Sigma Can.
For organisations and individuals who cannot travel to the UK, Sigma offers Mini Oxford Experience programmes delivered in Asia — bringing the Oxford-style teaching methodology, the Sigma curriculum, and the cross-cultural learning environment to your market.
Oxford Methodology. Asian Delivery.
The Oxford tutorial method — intense, dialogue-based, challenge-driven learning that demands engagement rather than passive reception — is not confined to Oxford’s walls. It is a methodology that Brendan McMahon has delivered across Asian markets for over two decades.
The Mini Oxford Experience brings Oxford-style intensive programmes to corporate venues, business schools, and professional development centres across Asia. Same methodology. Same frameworks. Same quality of intellectual challenge. Without the flight.
These programmes are designed for organisations with cohorts too large to send to Oxford, or with scheduling constraints that make a UK residential impractical. Brendan travels to you. The programme is designed around your organisation’s specific context, your team’s cultural profile, and the capability gaps you are addressing.

One of Oxford’s Most Distinctive Colleges.
Hertford College was founded in 1282, making it one of the oldest colleges at the University of Oxford. Located on Catte Street at the heart of Oxford, it is home to the famous Bridge of Sighs — one of the most recognisable images of Oxford — and sits alongside the Bodleian Library, the Sheldonian Theatre, and the Radcliffe Camera.
Hertford College’s International Programmes team offers some of the United Kingdom’s most prestigious English-language and academic subject programmes — hosted in an ancient and fascinating institution in one of the UK’s most historically significant and culturally rich cities.
Sigma Mentoring delivers its IP Programmes and Oxford Pathway Capstone in partnership with Hertford College’s International Programmes — combining Brendan McMahon’s 28-year Asian field experience with the academic environment and institutional standing of one of Oxford’s great colleges.
Hertford College also has a specific focus on Asia through its Hertford in Asia initiative — with programmes and partnerships in Japan and Greater China that directly align with the Sigma curriculum.
Moments That Define the Experience
The Oxford Experience is more than a course. It is an immersion in one of the world’s great intellectual environments — an experience that changes how you see the world and your place in it.
Oxford Is Waiting.
How Do You Want to Arrive?
Three routes to the Oxford Experience. Each one designed for a different stage of the journey and a different organisational context. All of them leading to the same remarkable destination.
